KKB – Kalmar, Kronoberg, Blekinge
Our trial station Torslunda is one of our most beautifully placed trial stations. To get here you must travel over the strait of Kalmar over to Öland, the second largest island of Sweden. The island has a limestone bedrock making the soil conditions very diverse from most other parts of Sweden. However, the trial station does not only perform field trials on Öland but does also in Kalmar, Kronoberg and Blekinge.
Here we perform GEP trials in niche crops such as peas, beans and onion. We also carry out trials in more common crops such as cereals, maize and potato.
Common crops that we perform GEP trials in, in this region;
- Peas
- Beans
- Onion
- Cereals, such as wheat, barley and oat (Winter and spring)
- Potato
- Maize
